JLA Leadership

The Junior League of Albuquerque's Board of Directors ensures the future of the entire organization at all levels. Board members act as trustees and stewards on behalf of our members, including financial management of the League.

The Management Team provides vision across our multiple Council systems – which includes Community, Fundraising, Communications, and Training and Membership. These women make sure that all our League programs are consistent with our mission and that our strategy is pushed forward according to yearly strategic priorities.

Board of Directors

Nataley Quintana, President

Nataley Quintana is a native New Mexican, originally from Santa Fe and currently resides in Albuquerque. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law and member of the New Mexico Bar. She is also a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Psychology. Nataley joined the Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA) as a new member in 2009. In the past, Nataley has served on the Board of Directors of the JLA as Community Vice President (2014-2015 and 2015-2016) Community Member at Large (2013-2014), and Secretary (2012-2013). She has also served as Co-Chair of the New Member Committee, Grant Writer Chair and Assistant Chair, and on the Internal Communications and JLA University committees.

Nataley has always been drawn to volunteering and public service. She has spent her professional career working solely in various government agencies and grew up volunteering for events supporting police officers, veterans, and their families. Additional volunteer service included some time working at the legal clinic on skid row and a spring break service trip for Hurricane Katrina relief. Nataley has also served on the Board of Directors for the Young Professionals of Albuquerque as the Civic Engagement Chair and as a member of the committee.

Michelle Estrada-Lopez, President Elect

Michelle Estrada-Lopez is a member and current President Elect of the Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA). She has served JLA over the past 10 years on the Community and Training & Membership Councils. Her JLA leadership experience includes chairing numerous committees and serving as VP of Community and Director of Training & Membership.

Michelle has found great value through her membership in JLA. It has helped her advance her career as a Project Manager, brought her quick & strong community ties, gain confidence in her ability to meet challenges with failure and success, and, luckily, great friendships with women she would never have otherwise crossed paths with.

Michelle Repplinger, Executive Vice President

Fabianna Tabeling, Treasurer

Fabianna Tabeling joined the Junior League of Albuquerque as a new member in 2018 as a way to learn more about public service and to be surrounded and motivated by inspiring women. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Master of Accounting in 2014 and has since then also received an MBA in Strategic Management. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Studies in Law program at UNM’s School of Law. Apart from being a professional student, Fabianna is the Associate Director of Business Operations at Popejoy Hall at the University of New Mexico. Prior to the Junior League, Fabianna’s volunteer experience came in the form of volunteering for community theater groups. Fabianna has pitched in to help paint sets and clean as well as volunteered her time as an actor in local productions. She was recently seen playing Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet at the New Mexico Summer Shakespeare Festival held this past summer at the New Mexico Veteran’s Memorial Park.

D'Aun (Dee) Flesher, Secretary

D'Aun is from Deming, NM, and graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, OR, with a Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. After briefly living in Spokane, WA, she returned to Albuquerque in 2011 to be closer to family. She joined the Junior League in 2016 to develop meaningful friendships with local women and to gain experience outside the healthcare environment.

She is constantly finding new things to learn, and she loves her current job as an outpatient pediatric respiratory therapist and asthma educator. She likes to stay busy, so she also provides freelance writing and editing services and volunteers as a Peer Editor for Respiratory Care Journal. Her hobbies include quilting and reading, and she is currently trying to learn Chinese.

Torri Jacobus, Sustainer Director, Board

Torri joined JLA in 2005 shortly after relocating to Albuquerque from Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is a graduate of The University of Arkansas School of Law and member of the New Mexico Bar. She is also a graduate of The University of Tulsa with a M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Xavier University of Louisiana with a B.S. in Psychology.

Torri has served the JLA in various capacities including but not limited to President-Elect, Training and Membership Vice President, New Member Co-Chair, Community Vice President, Community Member at Large, Project Share Co-Chair, Nominating & Placement Committee, and Membership Development Chair prior to serving as President.

Torri is a Managing Assistant City Attorney and Director of the Office of Civil Rights for the City of Albuquerque. She is actively engaged in her community and profession and serves as Secretary for the Albuquerque Chapter of the Links Incorporated, a member of the Second Judicial District's Pro Bono Committee, a member of the State Bar of New Mexico Committee on Diversity in the Legal Profession, Vice President of the New Mexico Black Lawyers Association, and volunteers at a local elementary school to assist with developing literacy skills in emerging readers. When not volunteering or working, Torri spends her time with her husband, Jesse, and three children, Alexander (13) and Sebastian (9) and Camille (8). 

Tory Witt, Nominating Chair

Tory is a Native New Mexican, growing up in Albuquerque. She attended the University of Arizona, graduating in 2012 with her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and a minor is Psychology. She then went to graduate school at Marquette University, receiving her Master’s of Science in Human Resources. In 2014 Tory moved back to Albuquerque to begin her career as a Recruiting Specialist for Sandia National Laboratories, concentrating on university recruiting for STEM talent. It was then she also joined the Junior League of Albuquerque and has since served as a New Member Advisor, Membership Recruitment Retention and Placement Co-Chair, Done In A Day Chair, and as a member of the Nominating Committee.

Outside of Junior League, Tory serves as a high school mentor for Big Brother’s Big Sister Mentor 2.0 program and the Treasurer of the Kappa Alpha Theta Albuquerque Alumnae Chapter. She has also previously volunteered with Junior Achievement in elementary school classrooms and various other volunteer work in her community since she was a child. She has received her SHRM – CP professional human resources certification as well as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. You will often find Tory at the Albuquerque International Sunport heading on travel for work or pleasure, but her free time at home is spent with family and friends and trying out new breweries or entertainment venues around town..

Management Team

Michelle McMullan, Treasurer Elect

Michelle is from Savannah, GA. She graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She began her career in college working at Camp Twin Lakes, a fully accessibly non-profit camp facility that provides intentional camp programs for those with special needs and assisted in opening their newest location in Warm Springs, GA in the summer of 2011. After graduating, she became an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and worked in a Methadone Clinic for 3 years. After relocating to Albuquerque in 2014, Michelle returned to her non-profit roots and worked with PB&J Family Services for a year before finding her calling with the ALS Association New Mexico Chapter, where she is the Care Service & Public Policy Director, working directly with families statewide affected by ALS.

Michelle has been an active volunteer majority of her life. She grew up attending Junior League of Savannah meetings with her mom; seeing her mom’s dedication to the community, creating non-profits and devoting her time to local organizations was a huge impact. Later, when she joined Girl Scouts, her troop's focus was giving back to their community working with local non-profits, helping at their walks and weekend camps. Prior to leaving Savannah, Michelle served on the Froebel Circle for the Fresh Air Home, a faith-based camp on Tybee Island for underprivileged children living in the Low Country. She joined the Junior League in 2016 as a new member. She sat on the Fundraising committee the inaugural year of Truck-A-Palooza, 2017, was a New Member Adviser 2017-2018, and she was MRRP Co-Chair this previous year and is looking forward to furthering her leadership skills as Treasurer- Elect.

Michelle is married to James McMullan III, and has three fur-babies, Maggie, Picard and Cujo. When not occupied by her busy schedule, Michelle enjoys camping, taking weekend getaways, photography, going on Harley rides, and canning food from their garden.

Shannon Bay, Communications Director

Shannon Bay has lived in New Mexico since 2007 and grew up in the Detroit, Michigan area. She joined Junior League in the fall of 2016. Shannon works at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and serves as the Program Manager of Adult of and Community Engagement. In November of 2016 Shannon received the Museum Art Educator of the Year Award from the New Mexico Art Educators' Association. In addition to Junior League, she volunteers on Kappa Delta Sorority’s National Leadership Team as an Alumnae Chapter Specialist overseeing KD Alumnae operations in eight states. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and a Master’s in Business Administration, emphasis on Strategic Leadership, from the University of New Mexico. Shannon shares a home with her husband Jon, their newborn son, cats Presley and Maleficent and four chickens.

Lauren Bennett, Community Director

Lauren grew up in small town, Roswell, NM. She received her Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from University of Arizona before continuing on to earn her Master's and Clinical Science Doctorate degrees in Speech Language Pathology. Lauren has always had a passion for children- both in work and volunteering. She spent several years volunteering in Child Life at Presbyterian and while living in Tucson, was a facilitator of the tube feeding support group for parents. She continues to work with the infant and toddler population serving as a feeding specialist and lactation consultant with Inspirations Early Intervention. In her "free" time, Lauren teaches a course in Communication Disorders and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and two fur babies. She is also a food junky and enjoys cooking and sharing her love for food with others.

Esther Wingfield, Fundraising Director

Esther Wingfield is a native New Mexican and was born and raised in Albuquerque. Esther attended the University of New Mexico where she focused her Bachelor degree studies on Business Marketing. She currently owns her own business, a second generation Allstate Insurance Agency, where she has worked for her customers as a trusted advisor; an Insurance agent and financial advisor, for the past 15 years.

Esther has served the Junior League of Albuquerque in many capacities since joining in 2008, She has served on the Board of Directors for five years, including serving as President of the the JLA in 2016-17. She is truly passionate about the Junior League of Albuquerque, our mission, the goals we working towards, and our amazing members. Esther loves Albuquerque, her community, and will do everything possible that she can to give back.

During any free time Esther has, she spends with her wonderful husband, Sean and her beautiful daughter, Olivia. She volunteers as an American Heritage Girl troop leader for her daughters school, and as class mom. She enjoys attending all of her daughters sports and activities, her husbands baseball games, music, crafting, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Kirsten David, Training and Membership Director

Kirsten grew up in Spring, TX where she started her career as a full time athlete swimming for club teams and Klein high school. She was recruited to swim at the University of Missouri where she was a division 1 athlete, achieved her bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, and became a Registered Dietitian. After college she decided to keep pursuing her education and love of sports/exercise further by getting her master’s degree in Sports Nutrition at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and after graduation became a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. She is now currently working with our active duty military members as the base dietitian at Kirtland AFB.

Kirsten has been drawn to volunteer work in her community since she was in girl scouts in Texas where she was involved in community volunteer work for over 10 years and achieved her girl scout Silver Award. She started in the Junior League in 2015 as a new member of the Junior League of Fort Myers and later transferred here to Albuquerque in January 2016. She has chaired the MRRP committee and is currently in her second year as Training and Membership director as well as leading the placement matching tool rollout.  Kirsten is looking forward to improving the league through our recruitment and outreach efforts as well as starting up the placement matching process online

When not volunteering, Kirsten likes to be active by running outdoors and training for upcoming races. She is a self-proclaimed foodie that loves trying new restaurants and cooking up recipes in her kitchen. She also enjoys spending time with her dog Luna and travelling internationally with upcoming trips to France and London!
