Training for Our Members
The training The Junior League of Albuquerque provides to our volunteers is what sets us apart from other volunteer organizations. Training is at the heart of everything we do. According to our mission statement: The Junior League of Albuquerque, Inc., is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It means that we take seriously the task of preparing women to be knowledgeable and confident civic leaders. The foundation laid through Junior League training has lifetime benefit for women in their professional lives and in community engagement.
The Junior League of Albuquerque University (JLAU) is the division that helps promote training opportunities for league members. Regular training opportunities are held for members such as Boardsmanship, Media Relations, Community Awareness, Parliamentary Procedure, Fundraising, and Grant Writing.
