Since 1934 the Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA) has been committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
Membership is open to all women who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. The JLA has over 250 members, and as a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, is one of nearly 300 Junior League chapters in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
Enrollment is open for New Members once per year with our New Member year beginning August 1st. We will begin accepting New Member applications for the 2021-2022 League year Spring 2021.
Who can join the Junior League of Albuquerque?
To be eligible to join Junior League of Albuquerque as a New Member, a woman must be at least 21 years of age by the application deadline and reside in the greater Albuquerque area. The prospective member must possess an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service and an interest in developing further potential for voluntary community participation.
Virtual Information Sessions
Another great way to learn more about membership in The Junior League of Albuquerque is to attend one of our information sessions. Members from our Recruitment and Placement Committee will be on hand to answer your questions and guide you through the process to join!

New Member Commitments
New Members complete a comprehensive training series that allows them to learn about our League structure and programs, as well as experience some of our community programs first-hand. The New Member program includes meetings, educational courses, work shifts, community projects, and attending League functions such as General Membership Meetings. New Members pay dues of $150.
